Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter and classical keyboardist Toni Tennille could probably live anywhere she wants. She has lived throughout the United States, in cities big and small, from coast to coast, in the scenic Sierra Nevadas and in lush, semi-tropical and sun-kissed Florida. But, Prescott is where she chooses to call home. She has done that twice, in fact, once in 2007 and again in 2017. The chart-topping vocalist with a contralto vocal range that spans two and a half octaves … [Read more...] about Singer Toni Tennille Wants More Musically, for Herself and Prescott

Preparing for Autumn with a Seasonal Wine Guide
As an avid Pinot Noir drinker, I believe that your favorite wine is appropriate at all times of the year, in all kinds of weather. Sometimes, however, the perfect drink for the current season really hits the spot, even if it’s not your favorite. We know that in the summer, a refreshing glass of Prosecco or a deliciously concocted Sangria are better paired with the hot days than, say, a big glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. In the winter, that big glass of Cab really does the trick, as well as a warm … [Read more...] about Preparing for Autumn with a Seasonal Wine Guide
Healing Through Words, Touch, Action
Many decades ago, before I was a doctor, I worked the night shift as a nurse at the hospital, and I often remember a janitor by the name of Carl. Carl was a tall, slender, rough-looking man with the gentlest soul I have ever known. I remember him telling me about his life, about how his father passed away when he was 12 years old, and how Carl had to leave school to go to work to help support his mother and six brothers and sisters. He regretted that he was never able to go back to school to … [Read more...] about Healing Through Words, Touch, Action
