Diamond Valley Productions, Inc. a Prescott based award winning documentary
film production company, has just released a new project. Norman Fisk’s Legends
of Whiskey Row. This documentary has been under production for over a year and
a half and covers the history of the beginning of Prescott as the territorial capital
and the first saloon to the present. It deals with the gold strike and influx of miners,
ranchers and those looking for a new life in the west. This project has some of the
most respected historians and on camera talent such as Bob Boze Bell, exec. Editor
of True West Magazine, Marshall Trimble, official Arizona historian and Emmy
winner, currently appearing in the very successful Legends and Lies on the Fox
network, Wyatt Earp, great grand nephew of Wyatt Earp, all who have been in
many films and documentaries, as well as Prescott’s own Melissa Ruffner, noted
author and historian. The documentary contains stories few have heard such as
how Virgil Earp became US Deputy Marshall because of a shootout he was
involved in on Whiskey Row. And the story of the baby who was abandoned on a
bar one snowy evening. It will be available at various locations throughout the area
as well as the Palace Saloon, Jersey Lilly Saloon, Hastings, Phippin Museum. It can
