
The Prescott Valley Police Department has been investigating this incident and was able to locate a photograph of the suspect vehicle. The victims in this incident describe the vehicle as a late 80’s to early 90’s dark colored sport utility vehicle (possibly a Jeep Cherokee) with the driver’s side headlight out and has not been located. The suspect vehicle appears to have large oversized tires with dark wheels. Original media release: Police searching for suspects in drive by shooting
The Prescott Valley Police Department is searching for anyone with information about a drive by shooting incident in the evening of Sunday July 26th at approximately 1110 PM near the intersection of Robert Road and Loos Drive. The suspect vehicle is described as a late 80’s to early 90’s dark colored sport utility vehicle (possibly a Jeep Cherokee) with the driver’s side headlight out and has not been located.
The incident started when a black 2004 Chevrolet pickup that was driven by a 24 year old Prescott Valley man, with his 14 year old brother and his 13 year old friend were returning from a fast food restaurant on Highway 69. The driver reported that while he was traveling on Glassford Hill Road a dark colored Jeep Cherokee began flashing its high beams and started tailgating them after they had passed it. The driver of the black truck continued to watch as the dark colored Jeep followed him on several streets and allegedly attempted to ram his vehicle before stopping near the intersection of Loos Drive and Robert Road. According to witnesses, the suspect discharged a firearm several times at the truck, almost striking the juvenile passengers, and another nearby 16 year old juvenile resident that was sleeping. The victims in the black truck fled the area and immediately notified the police of the incident.
