I moved to Prescott in 2018 after 41 years in the commercial audiovisual industry in Southern California. We opened and ran a successful manufacturers’ rep company for 33 of those years, serving a five-state region. I had several terrific mentors, but I wish I had known of SCORE in those days. I like to say, “I could have had a V8.” SCORE is a non-profit, volunteer-staffed, free business mentoring service. SCORE is America’s premier source of free, confidential small business advice, and was … [Read more...] about SCORE Helping Businesses Succeed for Decades

A Home for the Holidays
When then-California resident Jacquie Rerucha first saw “The Stetson Hat House” built in the middle of a two-acre gated lot perched high overlooking uptown Sedona, she fell in love. That was in 2005. It took her 10 years and the sale of a house in California to make that love her own, but when she did, she made it big-time. She bought the house in 2015, and spent about a year on renovations and improvements, including roofing, electrical wiring, plumbing and air conditioning, to bring it to … [Read more...] about A Home for the Holidays

Softened, Sobered, Shaped by Red Rocks
As time and erosion have shaped and smoothed sandstone slabs and towering monuments of Sedona, the Red Rocks are also proving to be a human rock tumbler of sorts, wearing away rough, abrasive exteriors and revealing hidden beauty beneath. Such is the case of David, a smart, likeable 20-year-old blond from Louisville, Kentucky. “I started selling cocaine and Xanax when I was 16 and I actually really started selling it before I used it. I always had cocaine in front of me, so I would test it … [Read more...] about Softened, Sobered, Shaped by Red Rocks
