Large Animal Shelters and Emergency Readiness (LASER) has received a grant for $5,000 from the Pat and Gerhard Kroenaur Animal Friends Fund through the Arizona Community Foundation of Yavapai County. A record-breaking winter of cold temperatures, snow, rain and flooding in Northern Arizona has provided much-needed precipitation but has also primed grasses and fuels that will burn quickly in a wildfire.
