The Adventure-themed dinner and live auction at Talking Rock Ranch is scheduled for early fall.
The sixth annual Wander The Wild, the Highlands Center for Natural History’s (HCNH) biggest yearly fundraiser, is scheduled for 2:30-7 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 28, at Talking Rock Ranch.
“This exciting outdoor and adventure-themed fundraiser showcases all there is to discover about our Central Arizona Highlands environment,” said Dave Irvine, HCNH executive director.
The nature- and adventure-themed event features live music and a menu of locally grown and produced delicacies, including wines from Painted Lady Vineyards in Skull Valley, and Page Springs Cellars.
“Feed your sense of adventure by bidding on exotic travel and experience items, such as Windjammin in Granada, an African Safari, river rafting or a tranquil mountain cabin retreat,” added Irvine. Nature-inspired local art and related travel and educational adventures are also featured, auctioned by local favorite Jacy Lee. “All proceeds benefit our youth education programs, serving over 4,000 children annually with quality hands-on outdoor science education programs, developed to introduce them to the wonders of the Central Arizona Highlands,” Irvine said.
