Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is singing the praises of the commencement guest speaker, Robert Wilson of Honeywell, and congratulating its graduates. The ceremony was held at Tim’s Toyota Center this month. YC Grad Receiving Prestigious Scholarship
Jasmine Demaline, a 2012 Yavapai College nursing graduate, has received a 2014 Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship that will provide her with up to $30,000 a year to pursue her bachelor’s degree at the university of her choice. Only 85 such scholarships were awarded this year out of 3,705 applicants. The Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society has announced that Yavapai College students Megan Daubert and Taylor Haynes have been named 2014 Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team Scholars. Daubert, a biology major with a 4.0 GPA, was named a Gold Scholar and will receive a $1,500 scholarship and a special medallion.
