The Prescott Gateway Mall is thrilled to announce the opening of the Bradshaw Mountain Hi-Railers “Connecting Generations” Model Train Exhibit on July 5th. Featuring six different operational layouts each featuring unique design themes created by its owner from both the pre and post-WWII eras, the exhibit will be open at Gateway Mall on the first Saturday of each month next to Bath & Body Works from 11am-4:30pm beginning on July 5th through November.
The exhibit, which includes the classic manufacturers of toy trains such as Lionel and Marx as well as many of the more recent lines made by MTH or K Line, has been provided by the Bradshaw Mountain Hi-Railers, and members of the group will be on hand to answer visitors’ questions and provide information about each layout as well as train safety information. The Bradshaw Hi –Railers are a gathering of 3-rail model train enthusiasts who have finally gown up but still enjoy the hobby of model railroading and enjoy sharing their experiences in O gauge model engineering and design with folks, both young and old.
“This is our world in 3-rail miniature. We know you will enjoy the ride,” said Mark Ziven of the Hi-Railers.
To celebrate the exhibit’s opening, Gateway Mall will be hosting a free children’s Games & Trains Party on July 5th at 11am. Details and event registration information can be found online at www.theprescottgatewaymall.com/trains.
“We are delighted that the Bradshaw Mountain Hi-Railers Model Train Exhibit will be featured at Gateway Mall,” said Gateway Mall marketing coordinator Theresa Dorlan. “This is a great opportunity for members of the community from all generations to stop, stop, look and listen as they learn about model trains and about the historical significance of each layout.”
