High-quality and affordable diagnostic imaging services are now convenient to all Quad City residents with the opening of Prescott Valley Medical Imaging (PVMI).
“We’re delighted to bring the Prescott Medical Imaging model of exceptional quality, responsive service, local radiologists and affordable care to the residents of Prescott Valley, Dewey and surrounding communities,” said David Amstutz, MD, Medical Director, PVMI and Radiologist, Prescott Medical Imaging.
PVMI opened in March with a policy to match the price of services provided by other imaging centers. This policy is designed to help people who don’t have health insurance as well as people who have insurance plans with high deductibles.
“PVMI is doing this because we want people who are paying out of pocket to have access to affordable, high quality imaging services delivered by local radiologists,” Dr. Amstutz said.
Access to local radiologists is a key advantage to the care delivered at PVMI. As local physicians, PVMI radiologists have privileges to perform procedures at Yavapai Regional Medical Center (YRMC).
“All of PVMI’s imaging studies are read by a local radiologist, not someone hundreds of miles away,” Dr. Amstutz said.
This is important because imaging studies may require follow-up procedures best performed in a hospital. Also, imaging studies performed at PVMI are available on the same information system used at YRMC, which allows the hospital’s physicians to access imaging studies, if needed.
PVMI has invested in the most advanced imaging equipment. The Center offers the full menu of diagnostic imaging services, including:

- Diagnostic Radiology
- Fluoroscopy
- MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
- Ultrasound
