One Man’s Treasure, an art auction and social event, features fine art that celebrates upcycled materials and Prescott’s riparian treasures. For this year’s event Prescott Creeks has joined with Prescott College, who supports their mission of achieving healthy watersheds and clean waters in Central Arizona for the benefit of people and wildlife through protection, restoration, education and advocacy. The public is invited to attend this one-of-a-kind fine art auction on May 3, 2014 from 4 to 7 pm at Prescott College Crossroads Center for $40, which includes mingling with the artists and bidding on exciting art works in both live and silent auctions while enjoying music, wine and gourmet appetizers.
This is Prescott Creeks’ third annual art auction, which has attracted increasing community support. We are fortunate to have six sponsors this year, including Page Springs Cellars, Marriott Springhill Suites, Haley Construction, Salt River Project, Country Bank and Prescott Audubon Society. Twenty-five renowned local artists have donated a diverse and unique collection of fine art for the live auction to be presented by the popular local auctioneer, Randy Oaks. The challenge for the artists was to make art out of found objects, recycled materials, trash harvested from the Granite Creek Cleanup or fine art representing our natural resources. Attendees at this function will be amazed at the exciting and excellent art provided by artists in our own community.
